Prostheses
Prostheses
It is the general name of devices made to imitate missing body parts. In dentistry, it refers to false teeth made to replace missing teeth.
Removable Prostheses
These are dental prostheses that are supported by the mucosa in the mouth and can be inserted and removed by the patient.
Total Prosthesis
It is a removable dental prosthesis, usually made of acrylic, applied in case of complete edentulism on the jaw base.
Partial Prosthesis
In case of partial edentulism on the basis of the jaw, it is a removable dental prosthesis manufactured with acrylic or metal base, which is made in cases where fixed prosthesis cannot be applied, and which is attached to the teeth in the mouth with hook-like extensions.
Precision Attached Prostheses
It is a type of partial denture. Instead of clasps, they are held on to attachments that are placed behind the teeth in the mouth and are not visible from the outside.
Implant Connected Prostheses
It is a type of removable prosthesis that is attached to special fittings attached to the implants placed in the mouth.
Fixed Prostheses
They are dental prostheses that are applied in case of loss of material that cannot be restored with filling or in the absence of a small number of teeth; defined with names such as veneers, bridges; made of materials such as composite, porcelain, zirconium and fixed to the mouth by the dentist and cannot be removed by the patient. They are known as crowns and bridges.
Metal-Ceramic Crown and Bridge Prostheses
They are fixed dental prostheses prepared by covering the substructure prepared from special metal alloy with porcelain.
Zirconium Crown Bridge Prosthesis
It is a type of fixed dental prosthesis made of zirconium. Zirconium prostheses can be used by polishing directly or they can be applied by covering with porcelain. Aesthetically, they are more successful than metal-ceramic prostheses.
Full Ceramic Crown Prostheses
They are fixed dental prostheses prepared by porcelain coating on lithium di silicate substructure, which is also a porcelain derivative. Although they are aesthetically more satisfactory than zirconium prostheses, they cannot be applied in tooth deficiencies.
Porcelain Laminate Veneer
It is a type of full ceramic crown prosthesis that is prepared and applied only on the front surfaces of the anterior region teeth by making very thin preparations or in some cases without any preparation at all, and prepared and adhered only on the front surface of the tooth in the form of a leaf. They are preferred for minimal material removal from the tooth and aesthetic reasons.
Implant Crown and Bridge Prostheses
They are fixed dental prostheses applied by bonding on implants applied instead of natural teeth. They can be made of metal-ceramic or zirconium.
T-Base Crowns
It is the type of implant crown bridge prosthesis fixed with screws.
Hybrid Dentures (All on four/six dentures)
